The Central Bank of Ireland is the single unitary body –- responsible for both central banking and financial regulation in Ireland. This new structure replaced the previous related entities, the Central Bank and the Financial Services Authority of Ireland and the Financial Regulator. The Central Bank provide for the proper and effective regulation of financial institutions and markets.
